This baby has one of the nicest Sitka spruce tops I have seen. Lots, and I mean lots of silky
medullary rays and tight and consistent grain pattern across the entire
soundboard. Check out the high resolution close up shots. It is immaculate, never played, factory new condition.
If you do not know about Morgans, the company is owned by David
Iannone, and builds about 200 guitars a year in Vancouver, using some of Larrivee's facilities.
At one time David was responsible for building Larrivee’s Presentation series
guitars. He started Morgan guitars (named after his son) and is building great
guitars that are being used by Sarah McLachlan, Nickelback and
many other professional artists.
I bought this instrument from the US distributor out of Arizona.
It was selected to be the guitar he would show to dealers to get them interested in
carrying Morgans. No pickups or end pins installed. Plush arch top case included. Tremendous instrument, no guff.
This guitar is very light for a rosewood OM, meaning that it is
not overbuilt which aids in responsiveness. Very fine high end instrument.
It would sell in a store from $2600Can up plus 15% taxes.

Guitar and Case are in brand new condition. Better than showroom condition. No issues whatsoever. This is a strikingly beautiful instrument in terms of appearance, playability and sound. It has great note clarity, balance and sustain while not being too overbearing. These are traits of a well constructed rosewood/Sitka spruce OM. The neck/fretboard/frets are very comfortable and the guitar plays like a dream. A very comfortable instrument to sit with, compared to the larger MJ and Dreadnaught guitars. It would make an excellent recording guitar. You will not be disappointed.
